Primary care
Our Providers offer high quality medical care to all ages from newborns to geriatric patients. All aspects of your care will be provided including chronic care management, risk assessment and interventions including monthly coaching for high risk patients, medication prescribing and management, and referrals to specialists where needed. We file Medicare, TNCare, TriCare and all other insurances except Humana, Well Care, Health Springs, and out of state Medicaid plans.
Functional Medicine
Functional Medicine is a holistic, patient centered approach that seeks to understand the origins, prevention, and treatment of complex, chronic disease. Treating patients involves taking a deep dive into the reasons why a condition or illness has emerged in that person. Functional Medicine investigates the entirety of a person’s makeup including their genetics, physiology, their current lifestyle choices and habits, their approach to stress, and their discomfort triggers. It treats with an approach combining traditional Western medical practices with what are sometimes considered “alternative” or “integrative” medicine. Treatment then centers on reversal and prevention through nutrition, diet, and exercise; use of the latest laboratory testing and other diagnostic techniques; and prescribed combinations of drugs and/or botanical medicines, supplements, therapeutic diets, detoxification programs, or stress-management techniques. Functional Medicine is provided by Kathy Cohen. Kathy’s training has spanned several decades, and more recently includes training through the Institute of Functional Medicine. She and Functional Medicine Coach Clay Higgins create a personalized program that is individualized, based on the extensive review of history, symptoms, lifestyle, stressors and labs. IV Vitamin Therapy
Infant/Child physicals and immunizations
We do provide newborn, infant and child physicals and primary care. We do provide immunizations to privately insured patients. We no longer are affiliated with the Tennessee state immunization program, so we do not provide immunizations to TennCare patients. Our TennCare patients do get their immunizations at the Health Department, but they continue to see us for physicals and primary care needs.
Women's health/PAP smears
We take care of most women’s health needs. We provide women’s physicals including breast exams and PAP tests. We prescribe and monitor birth control. We provide informed use of hormone replacement in peri-menopause and menopause. We do see women for female issues including treatment of pelvic problems, treatment of hormone imbalances, and treatment of STI’s and vaginal infections.
Hormone balance therapy with natural hormones
Bioidentical Hormones (also called Natural Hormones) are hormones that exactly mimic the hormones that the body produces. They are used to treat menopause, low testosterone, and menstrual difficulties. We provide programs for Natural Hormone Balance Therapy including bioidentical hormone replacement in the forms of skin creams and oils and oral and sublingual formulations. We also offer slow release hormone pellets that are inserted under the skin. We perform ongoing monitoring of any patients on a hormone replacement program.
Diabetes management
We offer diabetes management for all diabetics. We monitor progress and prescribe accordingly including all forms of insulin and all delivery systems (injections, pens, pumps). We also offer dietary instruction and diabetic teaching.
Weight management
We offer weight management programs tailored to the individual. We utilize the most up to date research and medications along with individualized diet application. Our programs include: 1) utilizing medication, 2)HCG injections, 3)diet restructuring, 4) MIC injections. Some of these programs are covered on insurance and some are not. Sports and DOT physicals
Sports physicals are offered here. We do combine sports physicals with annual child physicals, so the physical would be billed to insurance and forms would be filled out at that office visit. For patients with no insurance, the cost of a sports physical is: $75.00. DOT physicals cannot be filed with insurance. The cost of a DOT physical is : $100.00.
Orthopedic bracing
We are a registered DME provider for our patients only. We do provide fittings of orthopedic braces including wrist, thumb, back, knee and ankle braces. We do first obtain a prior authorization from a patient’s insurance before the fitting to ensure the cost is covered. We also provide…
Sclerotherapy
Sclerotherapy is a procedure to eliminate varicose veins and spider veins. We are trained and experienced in the practice of sclerotherapy.
Microdermabrasion/Chemical Peels:
Microdermabrasion is a mechanical exfoliation that removes the uppermost layer of the dead skin cells. A Chemical Peel is a chemical exfoliation that can improve precancerous spots, brown pigmentation and a general resurfacing of the skin. We are trained and experienced in both these procedures.
Botox/Juvederm
